I'm studying a Bachelor of Business majoring in Marketing and Entrepreneurship at UTAS.
Where are you from?
I'm from Rajasthan in India
Why did you choose Launceston?
Basically it was a family reason. My uncle has been living here for quite some time and I always wanted to come to Australia.
Where do you live?
I live with my uncle and his family in a suburb called Legana.
Where do you hang out?
I love Uni-Night every Wednesday night at the Saloon Bar.
Where do you love to eat?
I love my curries, so there are a couple of restaurants in the city centre I love to go to - Pickled Evenings and Aaj India. I don't mind Mexican food as well and enjoy going to Prickly Cactus.
What do you know now that you didn't know before you arrived?
I was surprised to not see native animals such as wallabies jumping around the streets like the dogs and cows do back home. I have learnt a lot about the culture and social life which is great.
Where is your future headed?
I'm not exactly sure just yet. I know I want to work in marketing and I currently have a part time job with Woolworths. When I finish my degree I hope to stay in Australia and future my career in the field of marketing within Woolworths.
If you had to sell Launceston with a slogan, what would it be?
Nothing rocks like Launceston - gotta love it.
If your last day on earth were to be spent in Launceston, what would you do?
I would organise a Bollywood vs Hollywood night for the last time and watch people enjoy. Life is too short.
If Launceston was an animal what would it be?
It would be a beautiful, loveable, exposable, rocking peacock, like you find at the famous Cataract Gorge.
