Scotch Oakburn has three Campuses: the Elphin Campus (Early Learning, Junior School and Boarding House), the Penquite Campus (Middle School, Senior School, Performing Arts Centre and Health and Physical Education Centre) and the Valley Campus (Education Outdoors and Environmental Centre).The two city campuses are connected by our own bus service.
Scotch Oakburn is the only Tasmanian school to be recognised internationally as a member of the prestigious Round Square Association of about 80 schools around the world. To be so recognised, schools must exhibit outstanding educational opportunities for its students in five main strands in addition to excellent academic opportunity. They are: International understanding, Democracy, Environmental awareness, Adventure, Leadership and Service.
For a senior student, there is a very wide range of subject choices available, including outstanding opportunities in the visual and performing arts, architectural and graphic design, environmental studies and the various sciences. Assistance in English is provided for overseas students needing help in this area.
